These Community Guidelines apply to comments, ratings, recipe submissions, profiles, messages, photographs, and other community features on thegeekmenu.com. Participation is also governed by the Terms and Conditions, Acceptable Use Policy, and Privacy Policy.
Be Respectful and Relevant
Useful disagreement, corrections, questions, and different cooking experiences are welcome. Harassment, threats, hate, discriminatory abuse, stalking, doxxing, sexual exploitation, targeted humiliation, or repeated personal attacks are not. Contributions should relate to the page, recipe, review, or discussion.
Be Honest
Comments, ratings, and reviews should reflect a genuine experience. Impersonation, fake engagement, fabricated reviews, deceptive edits, undisclosed paid promotion, scams, and materially misleading claims are not allowed. A relevant commercial relationship should be disclosed.
Protect Privacy and Safety
Private contact information, account credentials, government identifiers, confidential records, and another person’s personal information should not be posted without a lawful basis and appropriate permission. Content that encourages dangerous food practices, conceals known allergen risks, or presents general information as individualized medical advice may be removed.
No Spam or Technical Abuse
Unrelated promotions, repetitive messages, chain content, malicious links, automated flooding, credential collection, or attempts to disrupt or manipulate the Website are not allowed.
Intellectual Property and User Content
A contributor should submit only content that may lawfully be shared. The contributor generally keeps ownership of original content. Submission does not transfer ownership to The Geek Menu LLC unless a separate written agreement says otherwise. The contributor grants the limited non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license described in the Terms and Conditions so the content may be hosted, displayed, reproduced, published, distributed, archived, promoted, and reasonably formatted or adapted for technical and accessibility needs.
Moderation
The Geek Menu LLC may review, edit for formatting, decline, hide, remove, preserve, or restrict content or accounts when reasonably appropriate. Moderation may consider relevance, safety, context, repetition, legal obligations, and these policies. Not every contribution can be reviewed before publication, and the presence of content does not mean it is endorsed.
Reporting a Concern
A community concern may be reported to info@thegeekmenu.com. The report should identify the page or content and briefly explain the issue. Copyright complaints should follow the Copyright and DMCA Policy.
Changes
These Guidelines may be updated as community features, safety needs, and legal requirements change.
